is there a way you can be commissioned for a piece that I can get mailed to me? I see these offered on your etsy store, but I'm never fast enough to get one... by the time I see a new work from you, it's already gone/sold...
my brother would love one of these awesome things.....

Sure!  Send me a note/message at my etsy store.  I can get an idea of what you want and make something for you....and it will be reserved for you. :)

William Sansom's short story, A Woman Seldom Found, ends with the simple act of switching off the light. The reader is simply left to imagine what happens after that. Look carefully at this stereo pair fav.me/d6omwe6 to prepare youraself for this short story which is linked to in the artist's notes.

so your saying a lot of this peace is a mixture of different colored clay, I'm sorry for asking so many questions but I just started sculpting and now I'm painting it and it looks very chalky nothing like this. I understand you glossed this but the colors are so well blinded, I don't know how to explain what the paint looks like on my sculpture but I'm worried that when I gloss it, it will show that chalky look and its just not what I'm looking for. So any advice you can give me on painting the sculpture I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!:) (Smile)

This piece was baked twice and made with different colored clay, paint between a layer of clay and a few light acrylic color washes on top.  Matte and gloss varnishes were used as well.
I don't know what type of paint you are using  on your piece, but I do know acrylic paint looks flat when dry and brightens up when varnished.
I hope this helps, good luck on your sculpture!

an other thing I want to ask you do you bake the clay then paint and gloss it or do you paint, gloss and then bake it?

You can bake the clay before or after paint.  Varnish is always after bake.

I like both... Sometimes I don't use paint, just blended colored clay.
Just experiment with it and decide for yourself what works best for you!:)

Prepped a standard light switch cover. Base coat, layer, texture, blend, shape, smooth, bake, color base coat, detail, varnish, install, take photo, edit in PS, size and then upload to deviantART. ;)

I used clay at school and college. It cracks and crumbles and my mug shattered in the oven when the teacher baked it. :( (Sad)

I primarily work with polymer clay, you should check it out. It bakes in a regular household oven at low temperature. It will not crumble on you.
